Kitchen Part 1

This will take a few posts, but we wanted to document our Kitchen remodel to show everyone where we started and where we ended. This was a LONG process (Oct-Dec) and we finished just before Christmas 2012 (middle of the week prior is when we applied the last coat of paint). We do NOT recommend making the kitchen your FIRST home project, but we survived and we now LOVE our new kitchen!

Here is what we accomplished (not in order):
1. New window trim
2. New cabinet Hardware
3. Painted cabinets new color
4. New Toe-Kick/heat register
5. New under-sink board
6. New Counter-Top
7. New Sink/Faucet
8. New backsplash
9. New paint color on walls

Basically we did everything except rearrange the floor pad, put in new cabs, and rip up the floor.
We left the appliances alone because they were all new with the house (and we bought the fridge new too).

Here is the fun part!

  9. When it comes to deck aluminum gates, safety is a major concern. A primary purpose of a deck gate is to prevent small children from taking a tumble off the deck. For that reason, the gate should be high enough to install a latch out of reach of young children.
